About the Site

I do my best to write standards-based code, so this site is produced in XHTML using CSS for layout.
Parts of the site also use PHP, Javascript, and Flash.

The blog software is Wordpress.

The photo page uses the Flash Media Gallery by Flash Nifties.

The flourishes are created using the dingbat font Fleurons.

The flower is an African iris (Moraea iridioides), one of many growing in my old neighborhood.

The proverb is something I dug up on the Internet. I can't vouch for its authenticity, but as a tea-drinker, I still like it.
